IKEA

My mom, sister and I went to IKEA for the first time a couple weeks ago. The closest one is 2.5 hours away, so we've just never gone. OMG, I loved it. I can't wait to go back.

Here are some things I bought. Nothing big since Chris wasn't able to go.

Two red pillow cases for pillows I already had. Our living room is a mix match of furniture that has been given to us, so we are working on making it all actually match. The walls are a light green color. We have an old lamp that is red so I think I want the colors of our living room to be grey and red with green walls, so maybe some accents of the green color somewhere. Not sure yet, but these pillows look really nice right now, and will match when we get our new grey furniture too.

I bought two "B" bookends. The "B" is probably supposed to be for book, but I like that it is also the first letter of our last name too. This is in our kicthen. We have shelves on both sides of the sink so the B holds up some cook books.

This is the second one. It's bigger than the one that is in the kitchen. I figure we will use it in the nursery, someday.

New big grey trashcan. I love grey.

Two can openers. We needed a new one and I wasn't sure which I would like better. They were both super cheap so I just got both.

Grey end table. The end table that was there is wood and not in the greatest shape. This one was $12 and I love it.

This is the furniture Chris and I picked out for our living room. We will probably go and get it someday in September. I'll update with pictures once we have it. Grey couch and red recliner. I'm not sure if we will get the grey chair yet or not. I need to measure the room and see if it's big enough for all three pieces. I'd rather have the grey chair and not the recliner, but Chris thinks he has to have a recliner, so whatev.

This bed is amazing in person. My mom was going to get it for us that day and give it to us for Christmas, but they were sold out. Of course. She will probably go with us when we go to get our furniture and get it then. It's a dark brown color.
